About Colored Diamonds

In jewels, the colored diamond has no equal.  It is rare, beautiful and sexy.  Most white diamonds are not rare, while colored diamonds are.  They are geological flukes.  For every 100,000 D-flawless diamonds, there is likely one colored diamond, and in all probability it is not flawless.

In terms of rarity, the red diamond tops the list, with blue and green diamonds following close behind. Next on the rarity scale are purple, pink, violet, orange and olive diamonds. The red diamond is so rare in nature that most jewelers and diamond dealers have never even seen a natural red diamond.
